Parent Concerns

Are You Concerned About Your Child's Communication, Behavior, or Daily Skills?

Parents often contact us when their child has an autism diagnosis or needs support with skills that affect everyday life. You may notice that your child:

These concerns can have different causes. Shining Star Clinic does not diagnose autism. Our intake team can explain our ABA program and help you understand the next steps after a diagnosis or evaluation.

ABA stands for Applied Behavior Analysis. It is an individualized approach that teaches useful skills in small, manageable steps and measures progress over time.

Your child’s program may focus on learning to request help, communicate needs, follow routines, play with others, complete daily tasks, and replace unsafe or disruptive behaviors with safer skills.

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst develops and supervises the treatment plan. A trained Registered Behavior Technician works directly with your child during one-to-one sessions.

Every child is different. Goals, service hours, and progress depend on the child’s assessment, needs, attendance, and treatment plan. Results are not guaranteed.
